The NGI Forum gathers together prominent researchers, innovators and policy makers at work on several fronts to restructure the Internet to be fit for the future we want. This year it will take place on the 25 September in Helsinki (Finland) in co-location with the MyData 2019 Conference.
Dr Roberto Viola, Director General of DG CONNECT at the European Commission, will be opening this edition of the NGI Forum providing a major opportunity for the whole community of researchers and innovators to learn more about future steps and priorities in the transition from Horizon 2020 to Horizon Europe.
A keynote speech will be given by the visionary Chief Designer for SAP’s Innovation Center Networks and Chief Innovation Office Dr Martin Wezowski who will inspire us on building a future we want to live in. Top speakers such as Francesca Bria, Cathy Mulligan, Adrian Perrig, Jaana Sinipuro, Irene Lopez de Vallejo, Teemu Ropponen and several others will be part of our agenda.
The event will also include a mix of policy and specialist talks, open discussions and interactive working groups. The emphasis is on stimulating discussion between policy makers, researchers, SMEs and Startups, industry players, and civil society. Some of the main topics covered at NGI Forum 2019 include:
